Burgh B&B was recently invited to visit Enix Brewery on the main drag in Homestead, one of Pittsburgh’s newest breweries. I’m going to shock you, we were not disappointed. From the food to the staff to the clean floors (you gotta be clean for brewing), this place had it all. Oh, and did I mention they also run an eight-lane bowling alley right next door? Beer and bowling. What a magical combination! (Not for me, I don’t like bowling, but you catch my drift.) 
From 4:00-6:30 PM (BONUS HALF HOUR) you get 25% off of beer AND pizza! Sorry, not sorry I get excited by a good deal! I love a happy hour that also respects the need to eat. What better food to wash down beer than pizza?! And Enix’s pizza is not your run-of-the-mill “za”(or flatbread, if you will). It’s heavenly. That’s right – heavenly. If you’re reading this and thinking “ok this person needs to calm down…” then I challenge you to go to Enix, get this pizza, and comment your thoughts below.
We also had the privilege of going on a tour. I always enjoy being able to go behind the scenes no matter the venue, but breweries always make me feel like I shrunk in size and I’m surrounded by big huge buildings (I’m actually five years old). Plus, everything is super clean and shiny. I’m also Monica Geller.
I love when new places take me to areas around Pittsburgh I don’t normally go. There are new places popping up everywhere, not just downtown or in Lawrenceville! I have another challenge for you this week (this month, or even next year): try a new bar/ restaurant/ brewery in a new place around Pittsburgh and post your pictures with the hashtag #NewPlaceSameMe (Hellooooo! Did I just give you your New Year’s Resolution?!!!)
